Vacation Bible School Minimize

Vacation Bible School

June 24-28, 2013 - 9:00 - 11:30am
For Ages 4 - 9 - Fee: $25 / child


For those of you looking forward to summer … and making plans … well, there certainly is no shortage of options and a wide variety of opportunities! How about including Vacation Bible School? If our past years are any indicator of future experience, we can pretty confidently promise a good time will be had by all!

We will have games, crafts, songs and generally a great time! Hope to see you at our VBS. To register, return the slip from the bulletin (4-28-13) to church, ATTN: VBS. For more information, contact Mr. Cooper, pcooper@ smmaparish.org or 487-2522, ext. 222.

 

TEENAGERS: Do you need service hours or would you just like to do something fun? Why not join us for VBS! Teams of teens (under guidance of Mr. Cooper) plan and conduct (under the supervision of parent volunteers) the VBS sites. We have done it this way for several years and it has been both fun and successful. We’re forming our teams now and invite you to be on one. We plan VBS during the week of June 17 - 21 and implement our plan the following week. For info, contact Mr. Cooper.

 

ADULTS: We could use your help as supervisors. It is a lot like playground duty! If you are interested and available, please contact Mr. Cooper.

Baptism Prep Meeting Minimize

Baptism Prep Meeting
Wednesday - May 29th.
7:30 pm - Teacher's Lounge


Parents who would like to have their children baptized are required to attend this evening of preparation in the Teacher’s Lounge. Call the Parish Office to register, 487-2522, ext. 201. Baptism preparation evenings are held on the last Wednesday of every month. Baptisms are scheduled on Sundays at 1:00pm.

Our Picnic is an important fundraiser for our parish, but also a day to enjoy fellowship with your fellow parishioners. It takes hundreds of volunteer hours to run a picnic successfully, so we are again asking for you help. Please consider volunteering for the picnic or donating items for raffle prizes.

Volunteers For Set-up and Clean-up Contact Paul Jasper at 845-9410 Set-up on Friday, May 31 from 8am to 5pm (any help is appreciated, you don't have to be there all day). Clean-up immediately after fireworks -- need help staking tables and chairs.

STUDENTS -- Volunteering is a good way to earn service hours and give back to your school.

 

*Updated* 2nd Annual Washer Tournament

There will be a kid's division and an adult's division. If you want to have one adult and one child team combination, it will not be discouraged. However, you will be placed in the adult's division [no matter what the age of the child]. We will be playing on the upper field this year. There will be a 15 minute time limit for each match. Entry fee will be $10 per individual or $20 per team. Early registration is appreciated!!! Registration forms for both events will be made available soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Linda Diel at 416-8377 or email: dielfam@att.net or look for information on Edline and the parish website.

There will be additional fun games for ALL to enjoy as well on the upper field that the C. Diel Family and Roeder Family will be announcing when we get closer to picnic time
